Waitsburg Commercial Club Mini-Grants are to assist with such things as; artistic supplies, recordings, studio time, exhibits, performances, project related expenses, etc.
WCC Big heART Grant
We believe the arts are essential to the health and vitality of our communities. We are passionate about supporting artists. We recognize the need for support, and that receiving funding can sometimes be a complicated process. This is why we decided to do what we can to assist you and why our application process has been made simple.
The Big heART grant is for Artists that intend to earn a commission/wages from their finished work. This is our way of planting seeds that we believe will continue to grow in our communities. We have grant application cycles throughout the year.
How to Apply:
Our application process is simple. Just download the application and email your completed application and Artistic Work Samples to wccsecretarytreasurer@gmail.com
Selection Process:
Waitsburg Commercial Club is committed to supporting both emerging and established artists. We are looking for passion and excellence in your craft. Tell us why your work is important to you and how you hope it will affect others.
Our jurors are a committee of industry professionals, whom we allow to remain anonymous. The jury process allows committee members to recuse themselves from evaluating particular applicants, when necessary; and to indicate a level of confidence in each review they provide.
Jurors will review all applications and select finalists. At the end of the grant cycle, one or more winners will be selected. If a high number of grant applications received, we reserve the right to award additional grants. Due to both time and financial constraints, jurors will not provide feedback to applicants regarding submissions.
All applicants notified of the winners via email. Winners also published on WCC’s web page, Facebook, Twitter, and local newspapers. We highly recommend that you add our email address to your contacts list, so emails do not end up in your spam folder.

Winner(s) must respond with the required information by the deadline date stipulated.
Required Information:
Projects completed within 6 months of receiving the grant award. If an ongoing project, it must begin within six months of receiving the grant.
We require recognition on all printed materials (and from the stage, if applicable).
Example: "This project partially supported by the Big heART Grant received from the Waitsburg Commercial Club.” https://www.waitsburgcommercialclub.org/
Within 90 days after receiving the grant award, we ask that you email us 2-3 paragraphs describing how our support has benefited you. If an ongoing project, please send this information within 90-days of the project start date.
Recipients are responsible for any tax implications.
